Warning Given by Mamata

Strike by junior doctors goes on, the down pour has led to a flood situation in West Bengals. The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has begun touring the various districts to have the feel of it.

At the time, she said the final warning of junior doctors fellows while visiting Panskura in Medinipur. She said, “When the water recedes, doctors have to go back to work, the situation in rural Bengal is terrible, many people might contract diseases because of the flood, They need you to attend to them so you should go back to work.”

Mamata also ensured people that the role of doctors is very important in the current times. She was like saying, “If you fail to go back to work, then people’s lives are at risk whose health concerns caused by floods are, have to be tended to.

Hence the effects of the junior doctors’ strike are not only limited to the health sector but also bringing about misery to the common public. Because of the destructed flood situation the medical services have reached a very bad phase and are affected in the community. Through the strength of such a statement made by Mamata, it may be suggested that from the point of view of general health, it is necessary for doctors to come back to work as soon as possible. Now, as to how the doctors would react to this inspirational plea for help, still is another story.
