The Indian team head coach, Gautam Gambhir, and former captain, Virat Kohli, became the talk of the town as they engaged in a bit of banter before the home Test series against Bangladesh.

The Indian cricket team commented on both of them and even shared the clipping on their official Instagram account. It captured the attention of the cricket fraternity and it was share button on the social media platforms and it didn’t take long to go viral.

In the freewheeling chat, Gautam Gambhir got the most deference for India’s pace treasured troika of Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami where he pointed out one thing that unites the pacers. He stressed that for them bowling is not just a fun past time or sport. This kind of feeling with the bowling skills is therefore cherished, and adds strength to Indian bowling force.

“One thing which is very common is that they enjoy doing what they are doing. Not even enjoy, they love doing what they are doing. So that is something Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami for that matter. These guys, they love bowling. For them it was a kind of meditation. For them it was kind of peace because when they were bowling, they were in that zone.

Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah have been the prominent bowls across all the formats where as Mohammed Shami has been troubled with some fitness problems. Bowling wise Siraj has taken 74 Test wickets 71 ODI wickets and 14 T20I wickets while Bumrah has 159 Test, 149 ODI and 89 T20I wickets to his credit. Shami has played only 27 Test matches in which he took 229 wickets and he has only 24 T20I wickets to his credit.

Siraj and Bumrah will play the test series against Bangladesh while Shami was ruled out of the Duleep trophy and test series against Bangladesh due to an injury which he suffered during the ICC men’s ODI world cup 2023.
