Srinagar: A breathtaking video of the operation being carried out by the security forces in an encounter with terrorists in Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir which happened on Saturday can be found on the internet.
In the footage one can see one of the terrorists emerging from a building and shooting with his assault rifle as he attempted to vacate the area. Army approached him and a short chase began, the terrorist tried to fall down and crawl a few meters before being terminated by massive firing.
This intensive operation of which was carried over several hours at night was a success for the security forces killing three ‘’hardcore’’ terrorists.

Details On The Encounter
The operation was conducted in Chak Tapper Kreeri, in which security forces have laid their hands on a huge accumulation of arms and ammunition as reported in the NDTV. Lt Col Sanjay Kannoth, the Commander of the 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles in the Indian army confirmed that three terrorists had been neutralized while pointing out to the professionalism of the operation in which no civil characters were harmed and no property was damaged.
The encounter began after the forces got information of the existence of concealed terrorists in the vicinity. Based on this information, they enclosed the area, an old building which the terrorists were using as a shield. When the security columns approached, the terrorists begun firing at them and this attracted fire from the forces. The operation was ongoing throughout the night and into the morning and this caused the militants to be neutralised.

All the action covered on the security forces’ drone camera shows one of the terrorists trying to move towards a small line of trees some distance from the compound wall where he might have hoped to disappear; however, the continuous firing from the security forces put him out of commission before he could make it to the trees. In the video one can see the white dust clouds after the bullets’ impact, indicating the level of firepower used.
This operation comes at a time that the security forces have been having some difficulties, the recent loss of personnel not sparing. In another operation carried in Kupwara, two army soldiers were also killed in action giving some idea about the situation entails to the forces.
Several operations being conducted in Baramulla give morale boost to the security personnel so that they could carry on the operations in favor of maintaining strict security measures in Jammu and Kashmir. That is why it is strategically appropriate to release it now, as the region is going through the process of assembly elections that will be conducted in three stages starting with September 18.
