Hyderabad Traffic Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead Of Ganesh Immersion On Sept 17

The Hyderabad traffic police have released traffic advisory for Ganesh idol immersion on Tuesday. Measures will begin from Tuesday morning with some of the measures possibly lasting through Wednesday afternoon.

The parking spaces have been developed at few areas at Institute of Engineers, MMTS Station Khairatabad, Anand Nagar Colony to RR Dist ZP Office, behind Buddha Bhavan, Gauseva Sadan, Lower Tank Bund, Katta Maisamma Temple, NTR stadium and Nizam College, Public Gardens and opposite to Imax.

Traffic Restrictions

In Hyderabad Police limits restrictions will be imposed at Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta crossroad, Engine bowli, Shamsheergunj Nagulchintha, Himmethpura, Haribowli, Asra hospital, Moghalpur Lakkadkote, Panch Mohalla, Paris cay Cafe, Gulzar House, Mitti Ka Sher, Kali Kaman, Osman Bazar and jeran Hotel.Some of the other restricted zones are Madina Cross Road, Nayapul, SJ Round, Arman Hotel, MJ Bridge, Darushafa Cross Road and City College, Shivaji Bridge. Other locations that are affected are Afzalgunj, Putlibowli Cross Roads and Troop Bazar.

Further Affected Areas - At Tope Khana Mosque and Alaska Hotel Junction there will also be control of traffic flow. Other points are Osman gunj and Shanker Bagh. Seena Hotel and Ajantha Gate near Exhibition Grounds will also be closed for the public due to the restrictions given by the authorities. Hence, the targets in the list comprise of Abkari Lane as well as Taj Island.

Chapel Road and AR Petrol Pump at KLK Building will also affected. Others areas are mj market and khairatabad. Ranigunj and Telugu Thalli Statue are other areas which are also affected along with GPO Abids and Liberty.

Public Transport Adjustments - The police have said that no RTC buses will be allowed to proceed beyond Masab Tank or VV Statue during the immersion processions. RTC buses are also barred to go near Clock Tower and Chilkalguda crossroads. Restriction points include, Ramanthapur TV Station.

Even Gaddiannaram and Chaderghat will not permit RTC buses also. Apart from it this list also contains names like IS Sadan and YMCA Narayanguda and Tarnaka.

Alternative Routes - Anybody who is coming from RGIA or going to airport should avoid Necklace Road and Tank Bund. Main procession routes also should not be chosen. However, it is advisable to use PVNR Expressway or Outer Ring Road in order to reduce the time of traveling.

If you are going to or coming from Secunderabad Railway Station use Begumpet or Paradise Flyover. St. John's Rotary is another suggested route along with Sangeeth crossroads. The advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Ganesh idol immersions while minimising inconvenience to commuters.
